PART 2: The actives used in the Active serum range
These are the active ingredients in skincare products in our serum range. A serum is a cosmetic product, not a medicine. It supports how the skin looks and feels.
Our Active serums each have a short list, so you can see what you are paying for. Prices are Rs 2,500 per serum, except 10% Niacinamide at Rs 2,400 and Retinol Serum at Rs 2,700.
- Vitamin C and its derivatives: Used in cosmetics for the look of brightness and even tone, with a vitamin C derivative such as MAP chosen for gentler formulas. Read Vitamin C serum benefits in Pakistan.
- Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Used for the look of refined texture and balanced oil, and it pairs well with many routines. See Niacinamide serum for oily skin.
- Hyaluronic Acid and Sodium Hyaluronate: Humectants used in cosmetics to support the skin feeling hydrated and looking plump. Read Hyaluronic Acid serum for dry skin.

PART 3: Skin concerns mapped to the actives usually chosen
Use this as a starting point, not a prescription. Skin needs differ, and what suits your cousin in Lahore may feel heavy on your skin in Karachi humidity.
| What you want to improve | Active often chosen | Simple note |
|---|---|---|
| Look of dullness | Vitamin C, Niacinamide | Use sunscreen in the morning |
| Look of uneven tone | Alpha Arbutin, Vitamin C | Give it time, no promises on speed |
| Look of fine lines | Retinol, Vitamin E | Start slow, night use |
| Feeling of dryness | Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate | Apply on damp skin |
| Look of visible texture | Niacinamide, Retinol | Patch test first |
| Feeling of sensitivity | Aloe Vera, Vitamin B5 | Keep the routine simple |
| Look of oily shine | Niacinamide, Zinc Oxide | Light layers work best |
For a full mapping by skin type, including oily, dry and combination skin, open search by skin type. If you are comparing actives more generally, our serum ingredients guide explains how they work together.
PART 4: How to read an ingredient label like a professional
Most people flip a bottle, see a long Latin list, and give up. You only need three ideas to read it well. Our full guide on how to read a skincare ingredient label covers the details.
INCI order
Ingredients are listed from highest amount to lowest amount. The first few items make up most of the product. Water, oils and butters usually sit near the top, and the fancy actives often sit further down.
The 1 percent rule
As a rough guide, once an ingredient appears after preservatives and fragrance type materials, it is likely present at 1 percent or less. This is not a law, and it is not printed on the label. It is simply a quick way to guess the order of strength.
This matters when you see a product claiming a star active at the top of the marketing copy but at the bottom of the list. Read both before you decide.
What preservatives are and why they exist
Preservatives stop mould, yeast and bacteria from growing in a product that sits in your bathroom. Water based serums need them. A well preserved product is safer than a product with no protection at all.
Some people prefer to avoid certain preservatives, which is a personal choice. Just do not treat the word "preservative" as a warning sign on its own.
PART 5: Safety first
Read this section before you buy anything on this page. It applies to every ingredient above.
For the serums
- Patch test on the inner arm and wait 24 hours before the first full use.
- Keep the product away from the eyes.
- Use morning sunscreen when you use vitamin C or retinol.
- Not for children.
- Stop use and see a doctor if irritation persists.
Cosmetics support the look and feel of skin. A serum does not treat, cure or remove acne, melasma, pigmentation, eczema, rosacea or any skin condition. If you have a skin condition, see a dermatologist.
For Active Detox and any caffeine containing supplement
Active Detox contains Green Tea and Green Coffee Bean, so it contains natural caffeine. For that reason, it is not for anyone under 18, and not for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Anyone on prescription medicine or managing a health condition should talk to a doctor first. If you feel palpitations, sleeplessness or stomach upset, stop and see a doctor.
No supplement replaces a calorie controlled diet and regular activity. Results vary from person to person, and we never promise a set amount of weight loss.
Buy from a seller you can verify
We always tell Pakistani buyers the same thing. Check that a supplement seller is registered and verifiable before you pay. Unregulated slimming pills sold on social media in Pakistan have been found to contain undeclared drugs, so please avoid them.
You can read more on checking supplement sellers in our page on registered supplements in Pakistan. Our weight loss guide also explains what to expect from any honest routine.
You can order online with cash on delivery across Pakistan, or message us through the WhatsApp number on the contact page. Delivery goes through Leopards or PostEx and usually takes 2 to 4 working days in major cities. Orders over Rs 3,500 ship free. We also sell skincare serums and bundles in the same store.
Frequently asked questions
1. Does a higher percentage always mean better? No. A higher percentage can mean more irritation. Niacinamide at 10 percent suits many people, but some do better with less, so start low and see how your skin feels.
2. Can I use vitamin C and retinol together? Many people use vitamin C in the morning and retinol at night. This keeps the routine simple and lets you use sunscreen properly. Patch test both first.
3. What is inside Active Detox? Ten plant ingredients including Garcinia Cambogia, Green Tea, Caraway, Green Coffee Bean, Turmeric, Fennel, Moringa, Colocynthis, Kalonji and Ajwain. The full list is in Part 1 above, and the product page is Active Detox.
4. Are herbal ingredients for weight loss a shortcut? No. They may support digestion, metabolism and cravings as part of a balanced daily routine. Diet and regular activity still come first.
5. Where can I check the full serum ingredients list? Open the serum ingredients guide, or read how to read a skincare ingredient label to check any bottle yourself. Our about us page explains how Clinicaly Nutrition International works.
